CENTRAL BANK OF GREECE ATHENS

Technology: Fiber Optics

Special Features:

  • Fiber Optics instead of lighting with led
  • Even brightness
  • As technology of led lighting was continuously changing, if a led needed to be replaced the building would not have an even brightness. Due to fiber optics, using common halogen lamps, this problem was resolved.
  • Simple maintenance
  • Maintenance of lighting with led would require special cranes from the external side of the building. With fiber optics the headlamps are installed in the building internally so maintenance requires only a small ladder.
  • Distinctive aesthetics
  • The thickness of the luminary fitting with led would exceed 15 mm which would interfere with the aesthetics of the building. Fiber optics are much thinner so they don’t affect the facade and the aesthetics
